Chair from 15/03/2006 to 30/09/2014: Prof. Dr. Ing. Tiziana Margaria-Steffen

Samih Alareqi as DAAD Scholar at SSE

Samih Alareqi joins our group as doctoral student, supported by a DAAD scholarship program.

Barry Floyd as DAAD Visiting Professor at SSE

Prof. Barry D. Floyd from the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), USA, joins our group as DAAD visiting professor. In the winter semester 2012/13, he is involved in the following classes held by SSE:  Management of IT projects, Quality Management in Health Care and Leadership.

ISoLA Symposium: Interdisciplinary Contributions by the University of Potsdam

The 5th International Symposium On Leveraging Applications of Formal Methods, Verification and Validation (ISoLA 2012) takes place in Heraclion (Crete). A series of strongly interdisciplinary sessions has been organized by SSE and partners: Processes and data integration in the networked healthcare (Andrea Braun von Reinersdorff, Tiziana Margaria, Christoph Rasche, Potsdam University), Process-oriented geoinformation systems and applications (Hartmut Asche, Potsdam University) and Bioscientific Data Processing and Modeling (Joost Kok and Fons Verbeek, Leiden University, Netherlands, Mark Wilkinson, Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, and Anna-Lena Lamprecht, Potsdam University).

STRESS Summer School

The International School on Tool-based Rigorous Engineering of Software Systems (STRESS 2012) takes place in Heraclion (Crete). Together with Sven J├Ârges and Stefan Naujokat from the TU Dortmund,Tiziana Margaria and Anna-Lena Lamprecht from SSE present a series of lectures and tutorials on constraint-based variability management.

Summer Internships at SSE

In the summer break 2012, we host two internship students: Yadigar Can Ercan, computer engineering student at the Ege University in Izmir (Turkey), visits us for three months supported by the EU-sponsored ERASMUS placement program. Stefan Kottek, high-school graduate from Potsdam, spends one month in our group. They work with our workflow technologies and develop new application scenarios and tutorials, especially in the scope of our research on constraint-driven workflow modeling.

Falk Howar now at CMU

Falk Howar is now a post-doctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Mountain View, California.

Session on Simplicity in IT at SDPS 2012 in Berlin

Tiziana Margaria and Barry Floyd organize a session on Simplicity in IT: A Chance for a New Kind of Design and Process Science for the Conference of the Society for Design and Process Science (SDPS 2012) taking place in Berlin.
