*************************************************************************** *************************************************************************** Call for Papers Workshop "Inclusive E-Learning" within the framework of DeLFI 2013 - 11th E-Learning Fachtagung Informatik September 8-11, 2013, Bremen, Germany http://www.cs.uni-potsdam.de/inclusiveELearning/ **************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** INCLUSIVE E-LEARNING Traditional material and situations for study or teaching can result in the exclusion of certain groups of persons. This may, for instance, be due to location or use of media. The potential reasons include: physical handicaps, cultural differences, individual learning styles and other personality-specific issues, or age-dependent limitations. E-learning is, to a large extent, independent of location and time, and can provide for adaptable digital study or teaching material. It can thus enable such special groups of persons to enter and succeed the respective fields of learning. On the other hand, the increased usage of multimedia and dynamic contents and the ubiquitous presence of mobile devices can result in new barriers. The topics addressed in this workshop include, but are not limited to, the following - in the general context of e-learning: - Current or new concepts, scenarios and developments concerning barrier-free contents and systems for teaching and learning. - Studies of barrier-freeness and acceptance of teaching or learning contents. - Novel methods for adapting teaching or learning contents to the learning goal and the student groups. - Innovative technical tools or devices for teaching and learning. - Development or studies regarding teaching/learning methods for handicapped students or teachers. - Studies concerning education theory and praxis and e-learning with regard to both the methods of teaching and the continuing education of teachers. **************************************************************************** SUBMISSION OF CONTRIBUTIONS Reports on original research, development, experiments or experience are sought concerning the topics listed above. Contributions should be in German or English. The papers must not exceed 6 pages and must follow the format guidelines of the GI-Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI) available at http://www.gi-ev.de/service/publikationen/lni. Each accepted paper is to be presented at the workshop in about 30 minutes including discussions. We are also looking for short video contributions, concerning concepts and applications, with a maximum duration of 3 minutes. These are to be presented at the workshop and will be made available at the YouTube Video Portal of the GI-Fachgruppe E-Learning. For a paper or video to be published at least one of the authors must be registered with the Conference DeLFI 2013. Papers should be anonymized (no author names, institutions or project identifications) and be submitted as pdf files to https://www.conftool.com/mc2013/.
